Family takes work. It’s messy, beautiful, exhausting, and full of moments that make you laugh until you cry — and sometimes just cry. But through all the chaos, there’s one constant: love holds it all together.
Our family knows that firsthand. Whether it’s navigating everyday life, balancing the needs of our boys, or taking on a project, teamwork (and humor) is a must. One of our family moments? We built a bridge together right here on our land — in the middle of our timber.
There were, a few “creative differences,” and plenty of moments that tested our patience. But, just like in life, we found a way through — one plank, one nail, and one laugh at a time. That bridge now stands not just as a way across the creek, but as a symbol of what family can build when we work together.
We feel incredibly blessed to raise Mason and Dawson out here in the country — where there’s room to explore, space to dream, and the kind of quiet that lets you hear your own thoughts (even if they’re quickly interrupted by boys being boys). The country life gives our family a chance to slow down, enjoy simple moments, and appreciate how far we’ve come — in life, in love, and even in bridge-building.
At the end of the day, family isn’t just about where you live — it’s about the work, the love, and the laughs you share along the way. Whether we’re facing the daily challenges of Duchenne or just figuring out how to cross the next creek, we’re in it together.
And that’s the best kind of blessing.
